Our Thanksgiving Tree, sorta

My Mom started a tradition where you make a paper tree for your wall and everyday for the month of Thanksgiving you write something you're Thankful for on a leaf and put it on the tree. I was bad and did not do one, until now...

I ordered a tree from a vinyl company in CHINA, yes China! It took awhile to get here but it did on Saturday. I was anxious to see what it looked like so George and I spent our Saturday night putting it up in the baby's room! It is very detailed, so pretty time consuming. George really was the vinyl master. He really masters anything he does, pretty impressive! So over an hour later, this is how it looks.
We are both really happy with how it turned out! While putting up the tree I was thinking I should of done my Thanksgiving tree, but now here is a new tree with a million leaves for all the things I can be thankful for. So just to document my gratitude (yesterday we learned in church, there is pretty much nothing worse than being ungrateful) I am going to add to just a few of the leaves!
1. my comforting, goofy, hard working husband who enjoys the little things in life and why I look forward to the end of each day to see him and hug him
2. our healthy pregnancy and this little champ of a baby; being able to bring a new life in to this world with George.
3. our parents- we are so lucky!
4. the Camry, running on 221,000 + miles!
5. cooler weather
6. having family close to us
7. the Temple
8. blogs
9. President Monson
10. our Free country and troops
11. good friends
12. upcoming baby showers and people willing to throw them
13. the Biggest Loser and DWTS, a little mental break
14. George's hugs before he goes to work
15. our ward
16. Cafe Rio and In N Out, my favorites
17. our siblings, all of them
18. our many great trips and experiences in the last year
19. all of our nieces and nephews, near and far
20. the Holiday season, yippeee

A Christmas Carol

We saw A Christmas Carol and thoroughly enjoyed it! Never a disappointment from Disney. The 3D show was incredible, and it was beautifully done telling the Charles Dickens classic. If you know the story, it can be dark- even a little scary for kids. Adults can appreciate the tale of giving and good, especially at this time of year!
"But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round -- apart from the veneration due to its sacred name and origin, if anything belonging to it can be apart from that -- as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time: the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. And therefore, uncle, though it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket, I believe that it has done me good, and will do me good; and I say, God bless it!'" -Christmas Carol

the big 25!

Well this last weekend I turned 25! Wow, quarter of century! 25 really seems old, or older. It has been an interesting week but my birthday was a nice celebration. It started out with breakfast in bed, with homemade breakfast burritos by my sweet husband. We then went and got pedicures, and YES I mean WE. I was so excited George was going to go with me. He may not admit now but he loved it and his toes look so nice. After that we headed to Fountain Hills to my Grandparents. Emily and Paul met us and we all went to the Fountain Hills Arts and Craft festival. It has been a long time since I have been so it was fun to go look around. My Grandma stuffed us with fair food, like a funnel cake, curly fries and a smoothie! I felt spoiled.
After, we went home and got ready to go to dinner with ALL of George's siblings. They all got a babysitter and all the adults went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner; Even Lindsey and Ron who were in town! We finished off the night with pie and pictionary at Ron and Lida's. Always a good time when we can all get together. Looking forward to this Sunday for my Birthday dinner at my parents. 25 is going to be a great year with a new baby and so much more!

Rain Gutters?

I found this idea and loved it! George masterfully bought a rain gutter and made me my darling book shelves for the baby's room. All for $6.00!

Hallows Eve

Halloween was a blast this year! We had fun dressing up once again, but we had a baby bump to work with. George even managed to top off last year's costume! We went to Grandma Prince's for the chili and family visits! We then went to a party with Preston and Kira, and played some corn hole and sat by the fire. The night was still young, so we returned to the Halloween party that George and I met at two years ago. It moved locations but it was fun to meet up with friends! We had a fun dancing and feeling young again ;)Can you tell who George is? I was inspired off of his wig, as a Bon Jovi type. But we heard lots of things through the night. Of course he has tight pants!
Preston and Kira in their creative outfits!

We ran in to Taylor Swift and Kanye West at the party! Ok ok, my best friend Sarah and her guy Jeremy. No he is not black.

Party on!

Festive Fun

Our Ward's Trunk or Treat!
We had a chili dinner and brought some things to decorate our truck. It was a lot of fun! It happened to be on that very cold day this week, we were probably sitting in 50 degrees! It really felt like October.
This year we did our 2nd annual carving party with the O'Neils and McKellars. We all brought pumpkin treats. We snacked on Pumpkin cookies, Pumpkin cake and Pumpkin spice bread. It was a lot of fun!
Look at these huge pumpkins!

Concentration. George is really good at carving!

Mine is on the left, George's on the right. (and he added in 'I'll kill you'!)

The groups pumpkins!!
We love Halloween!
Just a preview for tonight!!

Baby Thoughts

Things going on with me and baby boy:

1. I weigh more right now than I ever have in my whole life!

2. I have nightmares on whether or not to get the H1N1 vaccine. Yes, No, Yes, No. Today is a Yes.

3. BB is kicking up a storm all the time! His first kick I felt was late night September 30th.

4. I have dreams and visions of what his nursery will be like. It is going to be themed, classic English Winnie the Pooh. Not bright, annoying Winnie. Also, trees and leaves- you'll see what I mean.

5. I debated on doing a baby registry but I did it! I don't know, do most women do it?

6. I have taken up Yoga. I have read and been told it's one of the best things for pregnancy. I do really like it! But I need to be working out more.

7. George has been playing his guitar with us a lot and is prodding me to sing some more. We both sang a Phantom ballad last night! haha

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, excited to check in on everything.

Spider Eyes

So I am on a hunt...a search for the right mascara! I have looked most of my adult life and have used plenty of products. I have paid a lot and a little and thought I had finally found it! I found a Maybelline brand mascara that I really liked and have been using it for the past 2 years. They recently just discontinued it and I am back to square one...If any one has a good recommendation, help a sister out! The worst is spider eyes or dull lashes...
